Pushkov: due to the lack of Russian PACE will increase pressure on Ukraine – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, Jan 20 – RIA Novosti. The head of the Duma Committee for International Affairs Alexei Pushkov sure that the members of the PACE pass to pressure on Ukraine because of the absence of Russia in the winter session.

“In the absence of Russian PACE move to put pressure on Ukraine, in Europe, many angry monstrous corruption and fictitious Ukrainian reform”, – wrote the gun in his microblog on Twitter.

Earlier Monday, the deputy head of the Russian delegation Leonid Slutsky, said that the Russian side made a decision not to participate in the PACE winter session. According to him, Russia will return to Strasbourg only on equal terms in the case of guarantees for the return of the delegation of powers, which were suspended in January 2015.

The sanctions against the Russian delegation were introduced in April 2014 because of Moscow’s position on Ukraine and the Crimea. Russian parliamentarians have been deprived of the right to vote, the right to participate in meetings of the statutory bodies and monitoring activities. In 2015, the sanctions were extended, the delegation once again left the Assembly before the end of the year. Russian parliamentarians have repeatedly stated that they are ready to work in the PACE return only when all the powers.
