Poroshenko promised to increase defense spending in 2016 – Kommersant

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko reported an increase in budget expenditures on defense in the future. A statement he made today, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada. “No matter how difficult, in the budget for 2016, we will go again to increase spending on defense and security”, – the TASS words of Mr. Poroshenko.

The President of Ukraine also said it is impossible to restore the economic and social ties with Kiev District beyond the control of Donbass as long as there is no established control over the border with Russia. “We are now ready to restore economic ties with all the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk and Lugansk, remove all internal barriers and restrictions in the way of people and goods, but on the condition that we restore control of the external border. And if not, there is nothing to blame. In the meantime, Ukrainian humanitarian aid and pensions, which are given to those who have registered on the free territory of terrorists – the most that we can agree, “- said Poroshenko.
