The explosion in Diyarbakir: Five dead, dozens injured – BBC Russian

The blast near the police station of the Turkish city of Diyarbakir, according to updated figures, killing at least five people. Previously reported two dead.

According to local media, the number of injured also was higher than originally reported. According to the latest hit at least 36 people, while the previously reported 22.

Among the victims of the explosion was a woman with a small child. Information about other victims yet.

It was reported earlier that the police station near the Turkish Diyarbakir car exploded, presumably filled with explosives. The explosion was so powerful that it damaged the neighboring buildings.

This is the second in recent days an explosion in Turkey. On the morning of January 12 a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device on Sultanahmet Square in the heart of Istanbul. As a result, ten people were killed.

The Government is considered responsible for the explosion in Istanbul extremist group “Islamic State”. Its activity is prohibited in many countries, including in Russia.
