The magnitude of the earthquake from the explosion at the test in North Korea was 4.85 – RIA Novosti

VIENNA, January 7 – RIA Novosti. The latest data of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBTO) suggests that the magnitude of the earthquake from the explosion in the DPRK last test was 4.85; in 2013 the figure was 4.9, told the executive secretary of the organization Lassina Zerbo.

“Yesterday we talked about the magnitude of 5 (test – ed.), 2013 and the potential magnitude of 4.9 – that’s what we talked about yesterday. Today, most of all, we have 4.85, and compared with 4.9 or 5 in 2013 “, – he said.

North Korea said on Wednesday that she had spent the morning of the first test of a hydrogen bomb. The international community, including key nuclear powers have condemned Pyongyang’s actions, stating gross violation of the UN Security Council resolutions, and expressed concern about the deteriorating situation in the region.
