Moscow, December 28, 2015, 07:25 – REGNUM Russian tourists traveling abroad, will pay the sum insured 2 million rubles for voluntary insurance policy. The relevant law “About bases of tourist activity in the Russian Federation” shall enter into force on 28 December. This was reported in the press service of the Russian Union of Insurers.
The insurance is voluntary, but if an insured event and the absence of the insurance costs of treatment and transportation will be borne by the tourist himself. New rules for health insurance apply not only to tourists traveling abroad through the travel agency, but also to those who carry out their own holiday abroad.
The insurer will offset the costs of treatment and transportation when the insured event within the sum insured.
