IOM: number of refugees who came to Europe in 2015, exceeded one million – RIA Novosti

GENEVA, December 22 – RIA Novosti, Yelizaveta Isakova. The number of refugees arriving in Europe in 2015 reached the mark of 1 million 6.5 thousand people, said on Tuesday the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

According to the IOM, by Monday, 972.500 refugees have crossed the Mediterranean Sea in an attempt to reach Europe. In addition, still about 34 thousand migrants and refugees came by land from Turkey to Bulgaria and Greece.
