A deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Karelia Emilia Slabunova is the new chairman of the party “Yabloko”. She won the second round of the leader of the Pskov branch of the party Leo Shlosberg . For Slabunovu voted 91 delegates from 154, for Shlosberg -56. 7 ballots were declared invalid.
“This is an advance. Now, work, work and work as a team. We are all under the power, we will succeed”, – said Emilia Slabunova after the announcement of election results.
In the elections of the chairman of the party was attended by four candidates: Bureau members Alexander Gnezdilov (Moscow), Nikolai Rybakov ( St. Petersburg), Leo Schlossberg (Pskov region) and a member of the political committee of the Emilia Slabunova (Karelia).
In order to win in the first round Slabunovoy lacked only 3 votes (74 votes out of 152). Schlossberg scored 38 votes, Fishers – 19 Gnezdilov – 12. Before the second round Emilia Slabunovoy candidacy was supported by Alexander and Nikolai Rybakov Gnezdilov.
The candidacy for the chairmanship of the deputy of the Karelian party nominated incumbent head of the “Yabloko” Sergei Mitrokhin .
“Slabunova proves that it is – a person independent, not giving in to pressure – neither administrative nor political, nor the threat of criminal prosecution. This allows me to say that Slabunova – worthy candidate. The including in the electoral sense, “- said Sergei Mitrokhin.
In support of the 57-year-old Emilia Slabunovoy was also the founder of the” Yabloko “Grigory Yavlinsky. Slabunova was a candidate for mayor of Petrozavodsk from the party, she was a member of the political committee of the party, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Karelia, PhD.
