According to Reuters, «Hezbollah” has recognized that as a result of rocket fire district Jaramana Damascus killed a Lebanese citizen Samir Kantar. The organization argues that the shelling of the Syrian capital staged the Israeli military.

The Government of Israel has welcomed the death of Qantara, but has not confirmed his involvement in the firing of Damascus.
According to the agency, the victim was one of the leaders of “Hezbollah”. The organization he joined in 2008, when he was released from an Israeli prison as a result of the exchange transaction between Tel Aviv and the Lebanese group.
Kantar was a member of the US list of most wanted terrorists. In 1979, as a member of the Liberation Front Palnstiny, he made an attack on the Israeli town of Nahariya. Along with several accomplices Kantar killed a policeman and took hostage a local resident Danny Haran and his 4-year-old daughter. Being surrounded by the police, Kantar and his people, according to Israeli investigators, killed hostages, offered resistance to the authorities, but were eventually arrested.
Kantar, who denied his guilt in the murder of hostages, was sentenced to life imprisonment but in 2008 it was transferred to “Hezbollah” in a deal between the government of Israel and the Lebanese group. After a while he moved to Syria, where he received the award from President Bashar al-Assad.
