Protecting the head of the Library of Ukrainian Literature will appeal against the court’s decision – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, December 25 – RIA Novosti. Protection Director Library of Ukrainian Literature Natalia Sharina, accused of inciting ethnic hatred and enmity, appeal against the extension of her house arrest, told RIA Novosti her lawyer Ivan Pavlov.

The lawyer did not make predictions about the progress of a criminal investigation after statements by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who said on Friday that he was not aware of the prosecution Sharina and the Library of Ukrainian Literature should not be lost in any case.

“The president had previously took the control of different things, they all ended differently. Let’s see what will happen in this case, we hope common sense will prevail,” – said the defender.

On Friday Presnensky court of Moscow has extended the house arrest Sharina for another month – until January 28.

According to investigators, in 2011-2015 Sharina distributed among the visitors book editions Dmytro Korchinsky recognized extremist by the court and banned. By their actions, according to the investigation, the director has violated the federal law “On Counteracting Extremist Activities”. Sharina herself admitted guilt.

SK spokesman Vladimir Markin said earlier that during the search in the library was confiscated printed materials containing incitement to anti-Russian and anti-Russian propaganda.
