The official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia (MRS), Vladimir Markin, said that a doctor, suspected of murder by negligence in hospital №2 Belgorod detained. According to him, the investigation intends to request the arrest of a doctor. “On the basis of new information about the death of a patient investigator of the first department for investigation of particularly important cases (Offences Against the Person and Public Safety) of the Investigative Committee of Russia’s Belgorod region decided to arrest former surgeon of city hospital number 2 in Belgorod Ilya Zelendinova” – quoted Mr. Markin online TFR.
According to investigators, the incident occurred Dec. 29, 2015, when the hospital the patient who is in the course of one of the procedures kicked nurse. The doctor stood up for paramedic and hit a patient’s face, the man fell and died because of traumatic brain injury from being hit back of the head on the floor. TFR filed a case under article “Causing death by negligence”, which provides for up to two years in prison.
