MOSCOW, December 17 – RIA Novosti. The protection of the citizen of Ukraine hopes Savchenko, accused of involvement in the deaths of Russian journalists in the Donbas, challenged the extension of her term of arrest until 16 April 2016, told RIA Novosti her lawyer Nikolai Polozov.
“We have filed a complaint with the Regional Court in the decision of the Donetsk Court to extend the Hope Savchenko custody,” – said the defender.
RF IC maintains that Savchenko adjusted the Fire Battalion “Aydar” and deliberately gave instructions to fire on civilians during a military operation in south-eastern Ukraine. In addition, the investigation imposes Savchenko complicity in the murder of two Russian journalists in the Donets Basin in the summer of 2014, and illegally crossing the border of Russia and Ukraine under the guise of a refugee. Savchenko itself denies the charges.
