Syria asked the UN after an air strike by coalition military camps – RBC

The fact that the Syrian Foreign Minister sent a letter to UN Secretary-General and Head of the UN Security Council after the attacks the US-led international coalition of Syrian military camp, according to Syrian state news agency SANA.

In a letter to the bombing of the positions of government forces is described as “an act of blatant aggression that is strictly contrary to the UN Charter.” The Syrian Foreign Ministry called on the United Nations to “immediately take the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence” of the incident.

About warplanes bombarded a military camp of the coalition said in a UK-based Syrian Centre for human rights monitoring. It is reported that as a result of an air raid killed four soldiers and wounded 13.

Later, the Syrian Foreign Ministry confirmed the information about the air strikes, saying that the victims were three soldiers. According to Damascus, in the bombing involved four jets that fired nine missiles.

As noted by Reuters, it is the first known incident when a coalition bombed positions of government forces.

The United States led a coalition of 60 countries. Since June 2014, it carries out regular air strikes against militants in the territory of Syria and Iraq.
