According to government regulation, the functions and powers of IAC certification of aircraft, engines and airfields redistributed between the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Industry and the Federal Air Transport Agency. «Currently, the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Industry and the Federal Air Transport Agency can provide the functions of certification of the type design of aircraft, engines, propellers and airfields in full,” – said in a statement on the government website.

Now, according to the document, federal aviation rules, in particular establishing the requirements for airworthiness of civil aircraft will be approved by the Ministry of Transport in agreement with the Ministry of Industry.
