Russian Agriculture Minister Nikolai Fyodorov said goodbye today with the members of the ministerial leadership, reports TASS referring to two of its source in the Ministry of Agriculture of the unit.
At a farewell meeting was attended by Assistant Fedorov and Deputy Minister, he thanked his colleagues for work together.
The official confirmation of this information is not yet available. Assistant Minister Viktor Vasiliev declined to comment TASS about it. One source said that Fedorov, perhaps after leaving the ministry will cooperation between Russia and the World Trade Organization.
Earlier Friday, several sources in the government told Interfax on expected soon reshuffle in the Ministry of Agriculture.
As a possible successor Fedorov sources called Novgorod Region Governor Sergei Mitin. Another interlocutor of the agency as a possible candidate for the post of Minister pointed to the former Governor of Stavropol Valery Gajewski, who in March became the deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Today, however, the leadership of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnodar region informed deputies about the transition to the Governor Alexander Tkachev the post of Minister of Agriculture. In turn Tkachev will replace the governor’s office deputy manager of President Benjamin Kondratyev, sources told RBC.
Fedorov was appointed Minister of Agriculture in May 2012. Prior to that, he was from 1993 to 2010 was president of the Chuvash Republic, and from 1990 to 1993 headed the Ministry of Justice of Russia.
