Lawyer: Mokhnatkin tried to commit suicide in jail – BBC News

A convicted of using violence against a police officer Sergei Mokhnatkin slashed his wrists in jail. The cause was a conflict with the administration of the detention facility. The police tried to stop his illegal actions, according to the court verdict. Police also offended that their Mokhnatkin allegedly swore obscenely.

At the end of April 2012, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has pardoned Sergei Mohnatkina convicted in summer 2010 for 2 years and 6 months in prison for beating a policeman during unsanctioned rally December 31, 2009.
