Japanese Prime Minister sent a personal letter to the president of Russia. This was announced by the General Secretary of the Cabinet of the island nation Esihide Suga.
According to him, the message of Shinzo Abe, including Vladimir Putin explained the reasons why miss the celebrations in Moscow on May 9 to mark the 70th anniversary of Victory in Great Patriotic War.
“The letter explained that the visit to Moscow can not take place because of problems with the working schedule of the Prime Minister” – quoted by Tass statement by the representative of the Japanese government. Suga did not specify what else is contained in the letter.
On Monday the TV channel “Russia 24″ Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that he would not make a big issue of the failure of a number of Heads of State and Government to come May 9 in Moscow for the parade dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. “Someone has refused for ideological reasons, and trying to use this holy day in its line to contain and isolate Russia, someone went on about the first, someone was scared,” – said the Foreign Minister.
