Russian Mission Control Center in on Wednesday night made two unsuccessful attempts to contact the cargo ship “Progress” have not been able to get out on Tuesday the calculated orbit.

According to Russian news sources, on board the “Progress” several instructions designed to stabilize the situation and reduce the speed of its rotation around its own axis. However, it has not brought results.

Launch vehicle “Soyuz-2.1A” with a cargo spacecraft “Progress-M27M” was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome on April 28. However, to bring the cargo ship into the proper orbit it failed. Presumably the cause of failure was the failure of the third stage.

Currently, the “Progress” is in orbit above the calculated and uncontrolled spins around its axis. Center upravlenyai Mission was unable to contact the ship and get the necessary telemetry information. It is possible that it docked to the International Space Station will not work.
